ALjazeera sport, have done the acquisition process of ART sports channels and all its owned sports media rights,
included world cup 2010 and 2014 , Al Jazeera Sports will hold a press conference today about this deal, more info will be available after the press conference.
by this deal aljazeera sport with their media rights which include (and not limited to)

FIFA competitions
UEFA competitions
CAF competitions
SPANISH LALIGA AND the CUP
Italian Calcio and the cup
and many more competitions find more

with all these sports rights, aljazeera sport will be one of the most largest sports television networks in the world.

This sounds good news for current subscribers, I've also heard that from next week JSC subscribers will be able to view some of the ART channels through there subscription don't know how true that is but sounds promising. Aljazeera look to be a good bet for EPL next season if the rights are sold on by the new owners fingers crossed lets hope they don't up the subscription too much.

starting 1st December JSC sports and art sports subscribers will be able to view both of art and jsc channels for free until the end of December , at 1st of January 2010 , all of ART sports channels will disappear,

Yeah but is there any idea of how ABUDHABI SPORTS has planned to distribute the rights will they have there own premium channel or do they plan to distribute them with the possibillity of ALjazeera picking up some of the games?
