E Cibaly:
Can you tell me what do you mean by has to be activated in France first. and never to tell canal that I am going to take the canal box and card in London why is it not allowed
Broadcast conflicts, monopoly strategy illegally agreed under the table between major providers (like CANAL, SKY, PREMIERE, DIGITAL+...) that no provider is allowed to market directly cross border (although illegal under Eu treaties), bottom line is; if you tell CANAL that your box is being used in the UK, it will be deactivated remotely: They will do it, I assure you.
When you activate the HD box in France; install it, activate the card and watch the channels you bought for 1 hour or 2, then when you decide to bring the box to UK, it will not connect to CANAL for activation (it wouldn't work from here) -so as if you and the box are still in 'France
NOTE: This procedure only applies to CANAL HD, conventional CANAL Cards can be activated anywhere, although need to be registered in France
E Cibaly:
and can I still use it with my sky mini dish 45 cm or should I get another one 60 cm one last thing how long do you think it will take to activate it here in France one day or less
E Cibaly:
so can I use the 60cm dish for both sky and canal
and I dont activate it here do you think it will still work in London
You will have to use a separate 45 or 60cm dish for CANAL, since CANAL and SKY UK use different satellites aka directions -or; to avoid having 2 dishes, you will need an 80cm single dish and a skilled installer to fit both direction on 1 single 80cm fixed dish (you can get the dish in the UK).
CANAL Activation can be done same day in France.
