I have a dish pointed at Astra 19.2 and a Manhattan receiver so my partner can watch FTA French and German channels. Obviously the quality of the French FTA channels isn't great, and I'd like to do whatever's necessary so she can watch whatever are the French equivalents of the the main UK channels - also a movie channel or two would also be good.
What can you suggest and what would it cost? Would I be able to set up the new receiver etc myself?
very easy solution in your case,
ditch the Manhattan for the TNTSAT -they both work on the same setup, same direction, same dish
but the TNTSAT will allow you to watch the French national TV in addition to your current German channels on the same box
