hi all

I am wondering if some one has experienced or knows about this reciever below, I am getting a person I know to install me a 1m motorised dish with GLOBALSTAR 7100i USB. this is to be used mainly for the hotbirds, astras and possibly nilesat for the ART and albchannels for the premiership football. Personally i have only had echostar recievers in the past (including a 7700 and a 3000ipva) the 3000ipva is now happily living at my dads house with a 1.2m channel master, and he is getting all the channels I am seeking.

my questions really are:
is this reciever good? Globalstar7100iusb, as I never heard of it, and infact cannot find thier website on the net, which is not a good star, however, my friend says that the reciever is excellent and that I will have no problems with it.

What LNB is the best at the moment? the last LNB I used on dads system was a syntec2000 0.3db.

Anyhelp would be appreciated.

We supply that box, it is a very capable box with PVR ready operating system and DiSECq motorised engine inside it. You will be able to record from it to a memory stick and watch on your PC or save it elsewhere...
Just check out this product page for your self:

http://www.totalsat.co.uk/globalstar-7100-usb-p-13 2.html

Any universal LNB will do, but the best one is; Single LNB HD 0.1dB

Thanks for your reply, I do have one more question if thats ok!

I notice that it has a multicrypt cam, and was wondering if I could add a 2nd or a 3rd cam to this reciever?
Also as I have not heard much about this company, i tried to locate them online with no avail, can you help?

No, you can't add more CAMs to this particular box -you will need a box with 2 CAM slots like topfield boxes
This box will only take 1 card at a time
which company are you trying to locate online -

the Globalstar is compatible with current viaccess and when updates are required we will supply you the firmware update.
There is no online manufacturer site for globastar
