Sagem Tnt Sat no longer working

Hi I am totally confused here. I have a box sagem Tnt sat which i bought 2 or 3 year ago. since one week all channels displays: channel no longer available contact provider.
I tried to set up the box, no luck. I then contacted my provider who is a satellite Engineer and he said that probably I have to pay like a suscription now to have it work and he said he would contact the person where he buys the box from. He took the number of my tnt card. Then he called back saying that i have to pay 100 pounds for the next 4 years, in order for the box to work . I am surprised !!! i have been reading few of the messages from this forum an i can see that others had prob with their boxes. Has anyone been offer a kind of suscription for this kind of box ? i told him that fransat was offering a box with a fix price with the basic channels and he replied that in this case i should buy another box from fransat then as it was may be cheaper in the long run ! I am a bit confuse here! can someone advise ? i have a hD tv. And my box was digital but not hd, it does not say on it. iF i buy a new box does it have to be HD boxe as they are more expansive. YES, you need to renew your card for 4 years (they are changing card due to hacking)

BUT IT IS €15 !!!!!!!!!!!! (~£13)

They (Csat) TNTSAT need your contact (name/address/tel> in FRANCE ! )

Fransat is on 5W, HD box is about £200/£260 (less if bought in france), card is suppose to work "for ever" (life of your box I guess, also if fransat is not hacked...) . IF you buy a new box, CHOOSE a HD one ! New channels are coming soon and they will be broadcast in MPEG4, only an HD box will receive them !

If you can obtain the card directly from CANAL it would cost you 20EUR (since this is a bit more complicated for overseas viewers)
Buying the card of a reseller will cost you between £50 and £200 depending on current stock level the main resellers in France they adjust prices based on demand.

We supplied some stock at £69 - now they cost us more and we have just run out of stock again, the current price is £89 and lead time is 7 to 15 working days

Thank you so much for your expertise !!!!! now i understand better, i'm glad i've not told him to order a card.....i was nearly going to because i was so desperate....no french tv no life here !!! so let see now.
