Question French HD TNT using a spare Sky Digital dish?

I currently use an old Sky dish to pick up the main 6 French channels and was thinking about switching to the French TNT HD package.

I realise that I'd need a different LNB and was wondering whether another dish I have in the garden shed could be used for it.

It's a small oval mesh Sky digital dish that was removed when I moved to Sky HD. Could I therefore get away with ordering jsut the digital box.

Views?

If you get the Fransat HD Pack it should work just fine as is.
Most likey you don't have to change the LNB if it worked for SKY before, and you don't have to realign or modify the dish.

Question

Thanks!
Just for clarity you are suggesting that I should swap my Pace analog receiver for a Fransat TNT HD Pack. Without touching the old existing analog Sky disk and LNB I use with my Pace?
I guess I had assumed that for an HD reception, I needed an HD LNB?

Please confirm.
Thanks again!
P.

Just to let you know that I have ordered, received and installed the Fransat HD Pack, and although I had to move my dish, it is working perfectly.
Thanks!

I have a TNT Sat Box with my Freesat Dish (realigned to 19.2). Once installed, I can receive the TNT Sat channels for about 5 minutes before I get the message "No or bad signal". The dish is only one and a half years old. I can get the all the free channels (German/French/Spanish) using my freesat Humax HDR box. Doesn't that mean that there is a problem with the box?

I am no expert, but I guess the problem could come from a number of things. I'll assume that your lining up to 19.2 is correct.
It could be a poor connection at the back of your Humax (I use an old cable that has been cut many times and had different connectors and have problems with it), it could be a problem with your card if you use one like me, or indeed be a problem with the box, but if it picks up the signal, I am not sure what might go wrong after a while (overheating after 5 minutes? probably unlikely).
I am sure the TotalSat advisers can help if you address them directly.

From previous similar issue we suspect this is a faulty LNB, please change LNB and let us know, you can also bring box to store we will test it and confirm issue for you
