FRENCH TNT SAT Please help

HI,

I have my dish facing Astra 19.2 fit by a pro, I used a common receiver and obtained few astra channels, however when I installed my strong box to get the french channels nothing happens. I took it back to Calais to Merlin Leroy to be checked and it was working absolutly fine before my eyes !!!!
What is it ? do I need a special LNB for that box ? everything else is fine !!! something to do with the transponder ?
please help !!

You dont need a special LNB, but replacing the LNB might fix the problem
Sometimes when the LNB is faulty you get a very weak signal or no signal at all

The LNB checked and fine, the dish is getting a good signal from Astra 19.2. I bought a Technomate receiver I managed to get every UK Channels on Astra 19.2 and 28 but no foreign channels and no French channels either. My Strong box is not getting any signal !!!!!!! where is the problem. The satellite engineer refunded the cost of installation but was unable to find a solution !!!!!!!! help please anything I missed ????

From this post I understand you get 2 satellites, if that is a through a single cable then you have Disecq switch so you will need to enable that in the Strong box, because it wouldn't work by default and it would simply show no signal.

But if you have 2 separate cables for both satellites the above solution does not apply

I really recommend you hire a good engineer to look at this for you

Hi,

I have an 80 cm dish, one LNB and one cable !!!!!!! The reading on the engineers machine shows very good reception on Astra 19.2 ! any idea guys !!!!!!!!

You wouldn't be able to receive Astra 19 and 28 on 1 single cable - I'm I missing something?

You said in your previous post you get all Astra 19 and 28 channels - if you have 1 cable it means you have 2 lnbs or 2 dishes and that might be the problem.
