Canal Sat in widescreen?

I don't get any widescreen pictures on my CanalSat TV package, despite my receiver having 16:9 and 4:3 ratio settings. Why is this the case?

If I were to change to TNT Sat, would I get a widescreen picture with that?

Could be receiver fault -with TNTSAT you get 4:3, 16:9 and auto AR
