Hello,

I already read some of the topics in this forum but still not sure what to do.

I would like to recieve at least the 6 french channel (TF1, FR2, FR3, C+, FR5/ARTE, M6)
I have a 1 year old LCD TV samsung bought in UK => I guess no problem with secam/pal issue?
Where I'm living, there is already a dish from the previous tenant. I guess it was used for a UK sky.

I saw2 possibilites on your website to have these 6 channels:
- French terestrial freeview £155
- French TNT sat freeview system £379

1)What are the difference between these 2 packages appart the fact there is more channel with the 2nd option ?
2)If I have the option 1 (French terestrial freeview) and I want to switch the the option 2 (French TNT...) later on, what are the changes to make ?
3)by a new reciever and subscription card only?

Question regarding installation cost.
4)I'm living in buckinghamshire (HP169EJ) so outside M25 area but not far, how much is it if I'm asking you to do it ?
5)Otherwise, if I'm asking to a local company, what do I have to tell him ? Just, "With this equipment (the one I would receive from you) I would like to recieve 6 French TV channel?" or do I have to tell him the satellite and orientation ?
6)It is ASTRA 19.2° East by the way ?

A last one
7) How can I be sure to be able to recieve all the french channel in before bying any equipment ? Is it possible to not recieve the channels even if the dish is well orientated ?

Sorry for all these question but I would really appreciated some help.

Thanks

1st; Your Samsung TV will work fine either SECAM or PAL, But your SKY dish is only compatible with TNT SAT and not the Terrestrial Freeview

The difference is in the technology running on those 2 packages, the first; i'm going to refer to it as FTF (French Terrestrial Freeview) is an Analogue system so the box for this system will have to be upgraded within a couple of years at most, because the technology is dated and will be axed by 2010 EU wide,
For many years and until a couple of months back this was the only solution outside of France to get the channels you named for free with good picture quality.
But now things have changed, TNTSAT is the future and is digital (the opposite of the analogue broadcast system) and you get few more channels as bonus, cheap but not totally free.

You will have to buy and TNTSAT box and card and will have to realign the dish

We would charge you about £95 for fitting

You will get all the necessary information included with whichever package you buy, all instruction supplied with the equipment

I don’t know how to answer this question; any engineer can get the channels working in most cases - in some very rare situation where you will get no signal it is because of the location and any engineer would know about this, and so where to put a dish to get a signal

Hello,

I've been living in London for two years now and I've always wanted to received at least the main six French channels. Therfore, I'd like to know what excatly I need to do so.

I live in a house on with a Sky dish on the roof and I don't know if I need to have a new dishe installed to receive the French channels. I don't want to have to pay a suscription every month as I already have plenty of other bills to pay.

Can you please tell me what would be the best option for me and how must it would cost ( including the price to have the dish installed on the roof if needs be ) ?

Many thanks,

Aiglerose.

We now highly recommend the French TNT SAT system -you get 20 French Freeview channels - please follow the link for more information and prices
