You can no longer renew or buy TPS cards - To keep watching the French TV channels you will have to chose from the 3 following options:

NEW OPTION - BIS TV: (edited 07/12/2007)

This new option available since 5th DEC 2007 is most convenient of all options below.
BIS TV Card can be used on the same box, same direction and generally the same system setup as TPS Cards.
So all current and previous TPS viewers worried about upgrading to CANAL or TNT SAT, look no further; you can just order this card and use it on your system -as is, no need to change anything!

BIT TV 12M Card:

Other Options Available:

OPTION 1 - CANAL:

To get most or all of the French channels you had before, the best option is moving to CANAL, Thus you may also need to change box and need an engineer to realign the dish.

Alternative CANAL cards:

If your receiver has no CI (CAM) slots like: HUMAX VA-ACE You will need:

CANAL compatible receiver - NO CAM REQUIRED:

http://www.totalsat.co.uk/electron-cr1900-p-56.htm l

OR

Common Interface Receivers - REQUIRES ASTONCRYPT CAM (latest):

ASTONCRYPT CAM (latest seca2 CAM):

If you have any receiver with a spare Common Interface (CAM) Slot you also need the latest seca 2
AstonCrypt CAM

How will you know if you have a CI slot?
It will looks as a slot in the box that is 4 to 8 millimetres in height, and the box model will usually include a CI in the name (example: HUMAX VA-CI, TOPFIELD 5050CI...) from the model name we know it has a CI slot so in most cases you will just need the latest
AstonCrypt CAM

OPTION 2 - TNT SAT:

To move from TPS to TNT SAT, just buy the TNT SAT Box and arrange for an Engineer to realign your dish to ASTRA 1.

TNT SAT Receiver:

OPTION 3 - FRENCH DIGITAL FREE TO AIR AB:

This is the cheapest option to keep watching French TV, if you had TPS before or CANAL and want to change to this option, all you will need is an engineer to realign your system to Atlantic Bird 3, no card required and same box can be used.

To get French TV without any changes to your hardware, get the BIS TV option (payable every year)

We do not advise on piracy and software patches for watching pay-tv. It is illegal and may get you, us and them in trouble if discussed here, it is not worth it, it never lasts and never worth it.
