Hi,

I've recently moved to a new address in Cardiff, Wales. The new building have a sky dish system and do NOT allow installation of hotbird !!

Can I use SkyDish that is used for sky sports channels to get Aljazeera channels on hotbird ??

Al Jazzera Sport channels only work on Hotbird or Nilesat

You can not modify a communal SKY dish to also have hotbird on it -even if you can -the rewiring required to feed your flat with hotbid instead of sky is usually a complicated procedure if too many flats are connected to the same dish

Maybe; move house or fit a new dish on the roof an tell no one ;-)

if the existing communal sky dish is of 80cm or more -then -maybe you can an lnb to the same dish and new wire to your house

it all depends if you can run a new wire -if you can't and you have more than 10 flats connected, it will be very hard to trace your cable, only because of multiwitcher boards and taps along the way

if your flat is connected directly to the communal sky dish, in that case it will be easy to trace and modify that cable...

so i say 15% chance
