if your TV has good signal then you should be able to get French TNT no problems- even on a communal antenna system. You will need a local box- your UK Freeview may not work
If you are talking about TNTSAT then it would be a relativly expensive upgrade -this is common where digital terrestrial signal does not cover your area
best to talk to your neighbours, find out if they have TNT or TNTSAT -if they have TNT -then you only need the upgrade if your current analog signal is weak
If they have TNTSAT -then you will need an expensive upgrade -
